NUC Approves Degree Programmes for Enugu Federal Dental College

The National Universities Commission has approved the award of undergraduate degree programmes for the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu.

In a letter dated February 10, 2021, the commission authorised the relevant authorities to run these degree programmes in the precinct of the College with Federal University of Technology, Owerri as its mentor, thus upholding the status of the college as an authorised degree awarding institution.

The move formally paid the erstwhile status of the college as a monotechnic, awarding only Higher National Diplomas in Dental Technology and Therapy.

The Head, Public Relations of the college, Omololu Ogunmade, in a statement yesterday, said with the current approval, which also included the expansion of the

college academic programmes, the institution would henceforth, in collaboration with the FUTO, award degrees in various academic programmes accredited by NUC.
